Some bonds last forever
They can withstand anything, be it dark magic or time, the bond will never break.

Okay Franny~ I got zhe cup, so vhy do you need it?" Prince Gilbert asked, leaning on his hand. His hair was still wet from the swim they had taken in the secret grotto. Antonio was sitting next to him, waiting for the big idea his other royal friend had come up with.
Francis pouted when Gil used the nickname he hated, but none the less the twelve year old began to explain his idea.
"Well, yesterday after we all took the Hearts swear I was hit with a wonderful Idea!"
Gil raised a brow. "Ja? Vhat is it?"
He smiled happily, pulling the 'Adamant Dagger' from his sleeve and presenting it to his best friends. "We should take the Blood Oath~ It is the strongest bond in my country!"
The other's blinked then frowned. In the country of hearts, Swearing on your heart was the strongest oath one could take. And it wasn't to be taken lightly, since it involved magic. Why did they have to take this oath?
Francis saw their confused expressions and sighed. "Let me explain. In the country of Spades and Diamonds, there is a bond known as the Blood Oath. The people involved must cut their palm, then they let the blood drip into a chalice filled with water or wine. After the blood is in the cup, the people doing the oath must all drink from the cup and make their swear."
Gilbert looked quizzically at the Diamonds prince. "Vhy do you Vant to do zhis oath Franny?"
Antonio nodded. "Si, what made you want to do this?"
Francis said nothing. In truth it was because of a feeling he had, like something would happen one day...something that would cause one of them to forget each other...it would put a rift in their friendship. He couldn't lose his best friends! Instead of telling them that, he gave his usual airy smile. "Well why not? What could be the best testament of our friendship then taking a blood swear and bonding ourselves magically? Besides, if we do this then no magic, not in the kingdom or even a Jokers magic could make us lose our bond~" He wasn't sure why he mentioned Joker magic, but it just came out.
The other two looked at each other, then a wide grin found it's way onto their faces.
"Kesesese~ Vhy not! Let's do zhis oath, zhen nothing can break up zhe Bad Touch Trio~"
"Si~ Let's do the oath~"
Smiling Francis took the dagger and slashed his left palm, the others held out their hands, Gilbert slashing his right palm and Antonio his left with the dagger. They held their hands over the chalice, and as their blood dripped into the liquid they where surrounded by a small dome of light.
Then they each said:
I swear, that no matter what happens, I (Gilbert, Francis, Antonio) will always be true to my friends (Gilbert, Francis, Antonio). And not matter what happens, I swear that I shall always be true to my friends and never forget them. May a part of my soul always belong to the other, and let no magic whatsoever break this bond"
They each took the chalice and drank the water, and when it was gone they felt the power of their words tie them together.
Nothing could break them apart, for they where 'Blood Brothers' now and would always be connected.

"Is that true?" Gilbert wondered, gazing at the scar on his right palm "Have they Forgotten me?"

"I wonder were they are now..." Francis pondered, fond smile on his lips as he gazed at the thin scar on his palm.

"Blood brothers....Till the end." Antonio mumbled, gazing at his own scar. He wondered, as his body hurt from the beating the guards had given him, if his friend Francis would still consider him a friend...He had already lost one friend, he couldn't bear to lose another because of what he was now. "Is that really true amigo's"

Anyway, I wanted to draw a BTT pic because...Well aren't they the most awesome trio of friends?
Anyway, the Blood oath I got from reading wikipedia. And in this one RP I'm currently in on DA, the Joker (when one becomes one) is forgotten by all who knew him. Except a few people will have stronger memories. So I thought, maybe Francis and Antonio could be special (along with the Joker's lover the Jack of Clubs~...No that part is part of a story coming soon, not the RP =_= )
So since they did a Blood oath, it doesn't matter Gilbert died (or whatever) and became a Joker, because not even the Joker curse can take away the bond he shared with his best friends ^^.
